Last night as I finished my post about teenagers, I went to post the link in my Facebook (FB) account. Except it wouldn't let me. Why you ask? Because someone, one of my 'friends' on FB, reported one of my posts as offensive/abusive or spammy. I don't know for sure what content they found offensive, but I'm going to hazard a guess it's the one where I posted pictures of "Cock" soup. Pictures that I took at Wal-mart. Wal-mart folks. Where the wacky, the creepy, the normal, the religious and the prudes alike all converge to shop. I found it funny, snapped a picture and posted the pictures about it. I didn't even really say too much about it (and lord knows I could have!!). I wonder if they reported wal-mart to FB?! You know - because they're selling sexually explicit soup and all. It's not like the package was sporting a picture of Ron Jeremy or anything of the sort (but seriously - how freakin' hilarious would THAT be?!), it had a picture of *ahem* a "Cock" (The definition as stated on reliable Wikipedia says: A rooster, also known as a cockerel, or a cock[1] is a male chicken (Gallus gallus)).
I kinda-sorta have issue with that. This is MY space, for MY opinions. If the report was made to FB, then that means that one of my 'friends' had to have followed the link to read the said post here. No one asked them to, nor did they push their hand to do it. They did it of their own free will. If they found themselves being offended, they simply just had to click out of that screen and carry on. The beauty of the internet is that if you don't like something, you just scroll past it, or click that X in the top right-hand corner of your screen, and bam - that entire page disappears. What shocks me the most is that someone got their panties in enough of a wad that they reported it. Why? Why would they try to take away my freedom of speech? This is likely one of those people that posts about politics or religion in their very own statuses. Stuff that quite likely irritates and offends me. Do I report it?! No. I may not agree with what is being said, but I just leave it at that. I certainly wouldn't report them about it - that's simply a difference of opinion. Sheesh.
If the person who reported it is reading this . . . I'm sorry if I offended you, but at the same time, now you've offended ME. I'm not about to pussy-foot around you and such, and I certainly am not going to change the way I see, interpret or relay things because of you. Do yourself (and ME) a favour - either don't read my blog, or just unfriend yourself from my FB profile. I'd also like to suggest that perhaps you go out and buy yourself some BIG kid panties and put them on. Heck, let me know who you are and I'll SEND you some. Kay? Thanks. Really . . . I'd do that for you. Even though I have to 'plead' my case to FB now. Thanks for that cluster-screw. I appreciate it.
People with that type of passive-aggressive outlook drive me bat-shit crazy. I get that the world is full of different people, and definitely there are different strokes for different folks, but c'mon, this is a personal blog for crying out loud. It's a place for me to vent, rant, rave and to be silly or funny. It's MY outlet. For ME. Not for anyone else other than myself. If others choose to read it - fantastic . . . those that regularly read it probably have a pretty good idea of what my personality is like and either like or don't. I'm guessing if they keep coming back for more (and the stats don't lie folks - people are coming back), some must like it.
So with that, I'd like to let my faithful readers know that I'm still here to post - and will continue to do so. If that means that I wind up going to hell in handbasket at the end of my time - then so be it. I long ago secured a first class ticket with all my friends - and I'm OK with it. See you there!! Oh - and to the reporter? Move on and get a life please. Thanks. Bye-bye.

Bravo! I look here almost on a daily basis to see if you've posted something new :) I love your sense of humor and thought the "cock" thing was hilarious. When you send the panties, be sure to include that in the package also. :)
