First off, I'd like to point out that today is MUCH better than yesterday.
Or I should say, it STARTED out better.
Mid-morning, Imp announced that he had a headache. We got him a couple of advil, a gatorade and got him camped out on the couch where he contentedly watched TV. Not even 20 mins later Banshee runs up the ladies room to take care of some business. She calls down a few minutes later and announces "I have to pee *REALLY* badly, but it's not coming out". Suddenly I recall that she's commented about "hot" pee and "not co-operating pee" several times over the past few weeks (but in my defense, it never went any further than a general statment here and there). We told her to try to relax so it will come out. At that point she came prancing out of the facilities stating "but I even pulled my finger and *THAT* didn't make it work".
To satisfy any enquiring minds . . . yes, the finger pulling stems from the 'pull my finger and I'll fart' thing. At a very young age, Banshee figured that if it worked for farting, then it should work for pooping, so, when she sat to do "number 2", she'd call one of us up and say "pull my finger", which we'd do, and she'd proceed to squeeze out some big business. SO, you know, if the finger pulling doesn't make you poop or pee, then you've really got yourself a problem in this household.
This whole ordeal didn't seem to phase her too much, as she ran off to play. She definitely didn't pee, but she wasn't bellyaching about it either.
Then Imp puked. He puked up fantastic purple gatorade puke into one of my good stainless steel mixing bowls (really? My other half couldn't find something other than my good bowls?!). Blech. Have I ever mentioned that I simply don't do puke? And I definitely don't think I want to use a bowl that had purple vomit in it.
Imp really perked up after he puked, and next thing you know, Banshee runs to the ladies room and pees. Without incident. Then Imp puked again. Then Imp perked up again.
Talk about a roller coaster kind of day. As it stands now . . . life is 'right' in the household, but I'm sure that is subject to change at any second.
For the record . . . I WILL take Banshee in to get her 'pee' checked. She has a history of bladder infections and UTI's, so I'm assuming that's where we're at right now.
I just hope no one else starts puking.
